A one-day international conference about graphic design as a cultural object in the digital age. Focusing on and departing from graphic design, this event aims to open space for a broader discussion of the opportunities and challenges opened up by the digital, drawing from several disciplines including design history, digital history and humanities, communication sciences, museum studies, archival studies, and interaction design.

The conference is part of the European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH) and aims to respond to its motto, “Our Heritage. Where the past meets the future”

Speakers: Letizia Bollini (Università degli studi di Milano Bicocca), Sue Breakell (University of Brighton Design Archives), Maddalena Dalla Mura (gruppo di ricerca Design e Museologia, Università Iuav di Venezia), Simona De Iulio (Université de Lille), Yves Jeanneret (Paris Sorbonne, University – Gripic), Fabiola Leone (Université de Lille-laboratoire GERiiCO / Scuola di dottorato, Università Iuav di Venezia), Trilce Navarrete (Erasmus University Rotterdam), Raimonda Riccini (Università Iuav di Venezia), Cécile Tardy (Université de Lille), Carlo Vinti (Scuola di Architettura e Design “E. Vittoria”, Università di Camerino).

The conference is mainly in English and French.
