In occasion of the five hundredth anniversary of the death of the architect Biagio Rossetti (1447?-1516), the University of Ferrara is organising an international conference to promote with an interdisciplinary point of view, the architect, his work, historiography about him among XIXth and XXIth century, and also urban history and artistic culture
in Renaissance Ferrara between XVth and XVIth century. Of particular interest are proposals that outline the study of projects at the urban scale realised outside Ferrara during the same decades and comparable
to the Addizione undertaking promoted by Ercole I d’Este, or investigations of the relationships between clients, artists, architects and scientists – in diverse courts and places – and the exponents of the cultural
and architectural circles of Ferrara during fifteenth and sixteenth century.
