Federica Criveto graduated from the Department of Architecture of the University of Ferrara in 2013, with a thesis on urban regeneration and redevelopment of the former Eridania sugar factory in Forlì.
After graduation she began her professional career with OURLab - Other Urban Resources Laboratory - a team with transversal competences between research and direct intervention on reality.
OURLab is a firm selected within Grisù, the former barracks of the Fire Department of Ferrara converted into incubator for creative startups, and it is following the project of its transformation.
She deals with creative disposals by minimal interventions and insufficient budget and she carries out research in the field of urban regeneration,
through citywide transformation experiences, architecture and design, able to realize themes such as active participation, the quality of low-cost building and testing of new technologies.
In this context she is investigating the issues of the Smart Cities and the relationship between ICT, communities, planning and design, applied to several fields including education spaces, tourism, trade and mobility.
